A2052 Fly Porsche 911 SC Tour Auto 1973 Le Grand Bazar 1:32 Slot Car
In the 1960s, the musical group "Les Charlots" was born in France and first became known for their songs and then for their films, which had a curious comic style full of continuous jokes.
One of the most famous films was "Le Grand Bazar," which was promoted in a beautiful Porsche 911 in the 1973 Tour de Corse, characterized by including the caricatures of Les Charlots on the sides of the car, as well as the name of the movie in big blue letters.
There are no Porsches in Claude Zidi's film "Le Grand Bazaar," which features Les Charlots in a crusade against mass distribution.
Yet it was this car that the production chose to promote the film. Decorated with the image of the four actors, it was entered in the 1973 Tour Tour de Corse alongside a Ford Capri in the same colors.
Driven by Hervé Bayard and René Ligonnet, it had to abandon the race, but not without getting noticed. Indeed, not only was it an original idea for the time to have a racing car wear the colors of a film, but the actors themselves put their talent to the service of the operation. They improvised a petrol failure on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, under the astonished gaze of the race spectators, not used to seeing a crew pushing their car!
And what a car! After leaving the factory in 1973, this Carrera 2.8 RSR, one of 49 listed, holds the record for participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans for this model, with a 5th place in 1974. Having passed through the expert hands of several successive owners, it is now presented as one of the rare 2.8 RSRs with a "factory-new" appearance, which makes it a privileged witness of its era. And a prime attraction during historic competitions!
