A2031 Fly Hesketh 308 F1 G.P. Alemania 1976 Guy Edwards, #25
Lord Hesketh retired from Grand Prix racing at the end of the 1975 season leaving James Hunt with no drive for 1976. While Hunt joined McLaren for the following season, the Hesketh 308’s did continue to race albeit in private hands.
This car sponsored by Penthouse/Rizla/Cossack was driven by Guy Edwards in the 1976 German GP. The British driver pulled over his 308 to help the injured Niki Lauda after his horrific crash and was awarded the Queens Gallantry Medal for his bravery. This is an important historic release and will appeal to Classic F1 collectors the world over.
