The Watkins Glen race on 21 July was the 10th round of the World Brand Championship. The Porsche No.6 finished 6th after completing 178 laps, 21 laps behind the winning Matra. With the last race of the World Brand Championship cancelled, Matra won the title in this race ahead of Ferrari and Porsche.
