The mighty Porsche 917 debuted at Le Mans in Longtail form in 1969. Car number 12 was driven by the British pairing of Vic Elford and Richard Attwood who qualified the car in 2nd. While neither it or its team car 14 finished, the fast pace of the 5 litre cars showed of promise to come. This is a limited edition resin model featuring a new ABS chassis design and must be considered as being highly desirable to collectors of slot cars that raced at Le Mans.
